It’s official Miami! Super Bowl LIV will be played at Miami’s Sun Life Stadium on February 2, 2020.
CBS Miami’s Hank Tester reports:
This will be a record-breaking 11th time Miami is hosting the Super Bowl, and it will be the centennial year for the NFL
Although the game itself will be played at the newly renovated stadium, most of the week-long celebrations and related events will be taking place in Downtown Miami.
According to the SunSentinel
Super Bowl City will be in downtown Miami and will go from the InterContinental Hotel to Bayfront Park and use part of Museum Park.
Super Bowl Park will be located within Bayfront Park and will have concerts, among other events during Super Bowl week.
There are also plans for Tailgate Town, a place where, among other things, each NFL team will have a special craft beer. There are also plans for Tropic Entertainment Stage that will feature bands.
The south part of Biscayne Boulevard will be closed as it hosts the Fan Zone Experience that will feature hot-air balloon rides, a zip-line ride called “The Hail Mary!” and the “Third & Long/First-Down Pass” in which an access pass entitles fans to catch a pass from Dan Marino or Joe Theisman, or perhaps throw a pass to Jerry Rice.
Super Bowl LIV will also honor the NFL’s 100th season with features such as “NFL 100 Retail Row” that will feature shopping, “NFL 100 Hall of Fame,” which will be a custom-designed structure filled with NFL memorabilia and photos, and the “Huddle Down Community Stage,” which will host community-based programming.
