A major topic of conversation among the business owners and residents along Flagler Street and at the Flagler Street Task Force meetings is the contractor delays for the beautification project. According to the schedule published by the City of Miami, Phases 1 through 3 should have been completed by August/September of last year – and that was according to the revised schedule. To date, these sections have not been completed, though I’m hearing that they should be delivered by mid-February. Hopefully, City Commissioner Ken Russell will be successfully in helping to get the construction back on schedule.
