Downtown Miami has multiple options for dance, live music and other entertainment within walking distance. Here are a few to spice up your November:
Designed by John Eberson and opened in 1926 as a silent movie theater, the Olympia is located in the heart of Miami’s historic Central Business District.
Throughout its history, the Olympia has been host to the world’s most exciting performers in the arts and entertainment community. Cultural icons such as Elvis Presley, B.B. King, Luciano Pavarotti and Etta James have provided memorable evenings under the Olympia Theater’s stars. The theater has also hosted today’s best-known pop stars and is a favored venue for concerts.
In November, the Olympia Theater will be hosting comedian Chris D’Elia, the 8th annual “Recent Cinema from Spain 2018 Film Series”, The MOTH – Miami StorySLAM & Miami Grand Slam, Spanish pop star Marta Sánchez and more.
This Books & Books location came about because members of the Board of the Adrienne Arsht Performing Arts Center envisioned how the presence of a bookstore could enrich the depth of cultural offerings available in the neighborhood where The Center resides.
In addition to books, this venue offers a variety of literary salons and events with famous authors, photographers and even a few renowned chefs
