Southeast Financial Center, ‎200 South Biscayne Boulevard‎, Downtown Miami

The original steel roof canopy that connected the tower and the Cube above Southeast Financial Center’s plaza is no more. One of my favorite features of the office complex is being removed as part of a improvement project for the plaza.

According to JLL, leasing and management company for Southeast Financial Center, renovations began March 29th

… to make repairs to the exterior plaza, as part of a plan to visually enhance SEFC. The City of Miami has granted us with the permit to proceed with this important work. Building management is planning an informational town hall meeting to provide tenants with a detailed presentation of this initiative and answer questions. The repair project is part of an aesthetic improvement for SEFC, which ownership has been diligently developing for months. Specifically, the project involves removing the original steel roof canopy structure above the exterior plaza.
