Science Saturday: Florida’s Watershed and Water Conservation Workshop

On Saturday, April 8 from 2 to 4 PM the Miami Science Barge will highlight Florida’s watersheds and wetlands, while focusing on ways to protect and conserve our freshwater supply. The workshop will be presented by the Miami-Dade Water Efficiency Manager, Patrick Martin. Program will include a talk by Patrick on water conservation and Florida’s watershed and aquifers, a watershed model presentation that shows how water works from the potable water treatment plant to the wastewater treatment plant and everything in between, an activity to create your own paper watershed and view how pollutants can travel through it.
